A very attractive muscular man, wearing a lot of interesting tattoos and some tortoiseshell glasses.

I was very interested in the possibilities of painting directly on a midtone card, which would allow a different way of working from the middle of light into the shadows and highlights, rather than only using shadows as watercolour usually allows. I love the result, and think the surface itself is a truly interesting format to display the artwork, being in a previous life the back of a notebook!
