ABOUT THE PAINTING
Inspired by many visits to the Scottish Highlands - I always make many sketchbook paintings on location and these are then used as reference for the studio paintings.
The name of the painting ?- the palette reminded me of the lovely colours in some of the brighter tartans, -themselves inspired by the colours of the heathers mountains and grasses in the landscape.

Artist acrylic paints, panel wrapped in cellophane for protection.
