Original contemporary abstract oil painting.
ABOUT:
This is a series in which I would like the color to be extremely free, as intense as possible, to breathe, and therefore the composition is extremely simplified: I don't want anything to disturb and interfere with the color perception. It’s reduced to absolute geometric simplicity. Everything here happens at once and all the energy spills out like a breath, like a sea wave. The entire process in this series is concentrated in one painting session. All of the processes and used materials are archival, professional artist-grade quality.
READY TO HANG:
The painting comes to you framed in a 32,5x23,5x2cm (12.8x9.2x0.8") off-white frame as shown. The frame is simple and stylish and could be easily replaced if you are not happy with it. The painting is front-protected by the plastic cover (transport safety) from dust and moisture, which also gives depth and justice to the color.

KNOWLEDGE BASE:
You've probably noticed and you're wondering why I do so much oil painting on paper. Besides the obvious fact that I just adore the touching, smelling, and feeling of the paper (which is obvious, I think :)), she gives me artistic freedom, convenience, versatility, and of course: quality!
The paper I use is from Fabriano (one of the oldest paper makers in Europe since the 13th century) with very good quality, acid-free, and archival. It has internal and external sizing that offers an ideal absorption for oil colors. The paper surface, obtained through a specialized texturing process, creates a very smooth surface similar to linen canvas, which I just adore.
Also due to the fact that the work is done on paper, it must then be framed and displayed "behind glass", which is the best possible option from a conservation point of view. There is no air dust and dirt, the painting is thermally insulated: thus, the effects of environmental temperature differences, which respectively lead to shrinkage and relaxation, are minimized. This is many times the better option than working on the mass-produced cheap canvases.
