Original artwork description:
There are many layers in this richly textured painting. It started with acrylics, but then I wanted to explore using some lacquer-based paints. After staring at it for a couple of years, I recently decided to add to it with my oil sticks, which created a lovely rough surface to the artwork. It was a bit of an experiment for me, and I am pleased with the way it turned out.
