Mexican food is by far my favourite food, and I've always had a fascination with Mexico, as you can see by the books used as a stand in one of the photos here. And during 2020 lockdown, with the usual restaurants and street food markets closed down, good quality Mexican tacos are the food I've missed the most. _x000D_ _x000D_ This painting depicts a hand holding a soft corn taco with guacamole and beans, being scattered with grated cheese, sour cream, and a squeeze of lime juice. Delicious! _x000D_ _x000D_ I've painted Mexican food in the past - check out the other paintings in my shop - but this new A4 painting is a development of that style in that it has a human hand incorporated in it. As usual the emphasis is on colourful graphic impact rather than realism, using blocks of colour separated by thick black outlines. _x000D_ _x000D_ The end result is a bold, bright, and original artworks that would brighten any room in the house. _x000D_ _x000D_ It is painted in acrylics and Posca paint pens on thick high quality A4 paper.
