Original artwork description:

My canvases are not only treated with acrylic paint, pigments and ink, but often also covered with different colored pigments, sand and putty, from which structures are scratched out shortly before drying or traces are added with chalk and charcoal. In the present painting 'Symphony of the soul 1', which is also fascinating in material terms, such powerful and emotional scratches and deliberate gestures with palette knife and blunt pieces of wood are visible in the form of lines or typographic symbolism. In the finished work, these gestures become complex lines that dynamically cover the entire work and always contain traces of other layers of material and colors underneath or above. They intertwine with the traces of water and are brought together compositionally with line forms sprayed on with acrylic paint as carriers of meaning.

Materials used:

Acrylic , pastell stick , ashes
