The history of Ancient Kyiv Rus tells us that a lot of time and value was given to the hair. It was a symbol of femininity. According to the hair, men chose their wives, the longer and thicker the hair, the healthier the offspring will be. Also, by the hairstyle, it was possible to determine the status in society - married, a widow, or "in an active search."
