Original artwork description:

I’ve painted hundreds of trees over the years but I felt compelled to paint my own version of this scene. I wonder how many artists feel the same.
It’s expressive, rugged and textured, there are heathers and grasses in with wild flowers. This is how I imagine it looked. There are some amazing photos of the sycamore tree so it will never be forgotten. I guess this is my way of paying my respect and expressing sadness.
Painted onto professional canvas using gold standard acrylics.
The artwork is not framed, the images are for suggestion only.
Sealed with acrylic varnish to protect the surface.
