Original artwork description:

I had bouquets of peonies in my studio for weeks when I was painting some of my big blooms, but these flowers don’t depict peonies as such, they depict the energy of all flowers, the essence of love, the idea that life is short and beautiful and we should make the most of it.
This is a large scale, very textured painting. I put all my love into it in the hope that it will make someone happy to own it, admire it for years and then pass it on to their children.
