Whilst visiting Westonbirt Arboretum I happened upon a spot just beside the most beautiful Acer. the yellows into oranges and reds took my breath away which in turn caught the smell of burnt toffee. It had to be the Katsura tree nearby. In the distance a tulip tree with its magnificent buttery leaves. It was truly the sweetest spot in the Arboretum.
I have used collage and painting techniques to try and capture the colours and shapes from that day. I wanted to make the leaves really pop.
The painting is supplied in a white/cream mount and will fit a frame size 70cm x 70cm.
