Original artwork description:

I had just returned from a trip to Switzerland and was inspired by the glacial green colour of the water there when I photographed this swan. This specific colour always reminds me of the cold green water of the alpine rivers and lakes.I liked the colour so much I painted my hallway and bathroom the same and hung the painting up so the white of the swan would work with the white wooden staircase. Unframed this painting blends well into a green hallway. The smaller swan in the distance was added to give the painting depth and scale.
