About my work:
At the start 2018, the editors of ArtFinder tipped me for the top as one to watch and invest in, picked from thousands of outstanding artists and now I’m ending the year as one of their best selling artists.
My work is displayed in over 32 countries, including some iconic places like Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair, 5th Ave New York, Malibu beach and Hollywood in California.
Some time ago I read the Thai edition of Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova which was fascinating and thought it would be a great idea for my Goddess collection. Since then I have painted a lot of Goddesses and they are hanging on walls around the world.
Here the Goddess is dreaming of her lover, Zeus the most powerful of the Greek gods, he comes to her in the form of a swan. I wanted the painting to appear as a dream as if you were looking at someone having a dream and to wonder what is happening, is that really a swan coming to take her or is it all just a dream.
I have sent my work to over 32 countries and to some great landmarks such as Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair, 5th Ave New York, Malibu beach in California and from Washington to LA.
To Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Monaco Monte Carlo and Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland to name a few, in fact, one of my best collectors is in Amsterdam which is not short of great artist or galleries, I’m very proud of that.
Blanc a New York-based magazine wrote an article about me in the November issue; it went on to say Ta has a special interest in character development and portraying “a little of the night…coming from my dreams and imagination.” This combined with her passion for colour psychology draws the viewer in and leaves them there, whether Ta is using oil on canvas, charcoal and pastels, watercolours, acrylic on wood or pencil.
To say that Ta is a versatile artist is an understatement—creating modern, contemporary, and folk art that includes portraiture and figure drawing in its vast subject matter and explores periods of Impressionism, Expressionism, and Cubism with influences from Botticelli to Lowry and Magritte.
Ta Thimkaeo: full-time independent Thai artist, creating large and small unique colourful
works.
COMMISSIONS: I would be delighted to create you a unique work, whatever size you need or colour palette.
