Artwork description:

My area of expertise is creating hyper-realistic nighttime photographs with a technique referred to as painting with light. On set my team and I meticulously illuminate a scene using light ranging from the full moon to specialized lighting tools through the course of many hours and dozens of individual exposures. I then digitally combine elements of each of these exposures into a single luminous composition.

This image is part of a series titled "Abandoned Vehicles of the Everglades" which takes these same painting with light techniques deep into the heart of the Everglades. Through a decade of research, this series of photographs made for fine art exhibition explores the interaction between man and nature as seen through nighttime environmental portraits of vehicles long abandoned in the Everglades ecosystem.

Materials used:

This artwork is printed by the artist using archival inks and archival paper. It is face-mounted to acrylic with an acid free backing and hanging system. It is ready to hang as soon as it arrives!
