Running into the SW from the bottom of North Rona lie a patch of rocks though joined to the main land mass. They are cracked and fissured from sea erosion and block-like on their Westerly side. I fished there during the early 80's for crab and lobster, lying at anchor on the lee side of the triangular island. The remains of a monastic settlement can still be seen on the Southerly slope of the island.
