Original artwork description:

"Suspension" is an abstract painting which for me plays with the idea of balance and counterbalance. A force or influence that offsets or checks an opposing force. In life we encounter and work with these elements both physically and mentally daily, most of the time unconsciously.

This painting has been inspired by the American abstract expressionism movement that included such artists as: Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler and Agnes Martin.
