Original artwork description:

Ever since an inspiring trip to Japan back in 2015 I've had a fascination with Japanese culture and cuisine. Sushi lends itself well to my signature flat and colourful pop art style as it's naturally so aesthetically pleasing and well prepared.

This small but eye-catching canvas depicts typical California style sushi roles, with avocado, peppers, and salmon, and also more traditional Japanese sushi, with slices of raw salmon and tuna sitting atop a small pile of rice. I dotted the composition with bright green edamame beans to add extra decoration. The whole canvas uses a bright almost fluorescent colour palette that would be sure to brighten up your kitchen, or any room in the house that you fancy!

It is painted on a stretched heavyweight canvas that's ready to hang. I used my usual mixture of acrylic paint and Posca paint pens for the black outlines. It's signed on the back, as depicted.
Size -
8 inches x 12 inches
20 cm x 30 cm
Roughly 0.6 inch or 1.5 cm thick.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield.

Postage will be first class in a cardboard envelope.

Materials used:

Acrylic Paint, Paintbrush, Posca Pens
