This artwork is part of a series of oil paintings on wood panel, 40X29 cm.

Nearly fresco technic for this oil painting inspiring from the artist Caravaggio.

Wood panel is recover with plaster before painting. Then I paint with very thin layers of oil, with lot of transparency, and a add of graphical hatch on some light zones. It's only painted in 2 colors : warm sepia and white. Oil colors are the top quality brand Old Holland paintings.
The aspect of the painting is silk finish.

Male nude, sitting on a sofa. I was interested by the chiaroscuro effect, the light and shadows, the body like a landscape...

The painting is framed with a wood box frame painted in dark brown.

Panel + frame = 870 grammes.
