Sunshine from behind, oil on canvas, 48 x 86 cm, 2016. On our way back we stopped again at the city of Adria. I took a look at the cathedral with its big forecourt and dark insides. Just around the corner is a small park with a fountain surrounded by some benches. Sitting and looking at the shop I suddenly felt hungry again. The bakery just opposite sold tempting pastries. I bought a big Pan d’Oro, plucking small pieces from it until it was gone. When I saw the shutters closing I ran across the street to get some more just before the shop closed.
