A bold and expressive oil painting, combining a backdrop of a calm blue sky above an escarpment. In the mid and foreground a copse of trees is flourishing.
The treetops are full of sunshine, the yellow light playing in the branches and scattering on the ground below.

Lively and loose brushtrokes reflect the play of light and gentle movement of the tree tops, all set in front of a soothingly textured backdrop.

Strung and ready to hang.

Painted in oil, on stretched canvas. Edges left a clean white, so this artwork can be displayed framed or unframed (please see additional photograph).

Lizzie Butler is a contemporary British painter.
She has exhibited at Leighton House Museum, Kensington, London and at several London galleries. She has also exhibited internationally, with oil paintings shown in Washington, USA and her etchings exhibited in Japan.
