Ukrainian artwork landscape church original oil painting on canvas. The story of this church is very dramatic. The church of Holy Mother of God was built in my city in the mid of 17th century for donations of well-off persons the city inhabitants and both simple people as well. It had been existing for centuries till the Bolsheviks exploded it in the 30es of the 20th century. In ten years or so they decided to build a palace of culture on the very place where the church had been. That palace stands nowadays instead of the church... How did it look like? Nobody remembers. There is just only one pic saved.
Ukrainian people are now fighting with the russian putin's regime that is same with the Bolshevik's one, as it roots from the Soviet empire that killed people and ruined churches and Ukrainian culture. The cossack will win!
