For a few weeks of the year the sun sets behind the cathedral and shines a beautiful golden light through the spire windows. This particular shot was taken towards twilight hours combining both the golden light seen around sunset with the blue/violet light associated with the beginning of twilight. I chose to break the rules slightly here placing the horizon and subject centrally as I feel it adds to the symmetry and therefore the overall feel of the image, creating harmony and balance, with the cathedral and beautiful light reflecting back into the water.
