"Sunset - Purple splash" is one of my "Summer Country Life 2020" collection inspired by the beauty of sunsets in the river Volga in the region of Tver (Russia). It is a palette knife oil impressionistic landscape painting made in July 2020. This is an original oil painting on a 60 x 80 cm linen canvas. Painted with a brush and a palette knife creating a textured canvas (an impasto).

I admire COLOUR and I admire NATURE with its beauty. When I look at these colourful sunsets at Volga it makes me feel happy and relaxed. I do not need even to create these colours, they are all created by nature!
The BRIDGE is a symbol, a symbol of dreams coming true.
I wanted to transfer these feelings through my artwork to others!
