People live in constant hesitation. Knowing nothing for sure is our world.
Human lives endlessly fluctuating from the inner to the outer. But this state is always at the limit. He will never be able to fully understand who he is. After all, even the most intimate in us comes from outside. A person is always not only an individual, but also an environment for others.
This series of works was inspired by the birch bark. She reminds me very much of human lives. Their endless chain, one after another, someone nearby, someone above, someone below. But wherever you are, you are always somewhere in the middle, because no one knows exactly where this chain begins and where it ends.
We live in a world where we may not know anything about a person. Even the birch landscape is conditional, perhaps not even real. And its virtuality thereby makes it accessible to everyone. For everyone and always. We are in endless systems.
We live in a filter world. Transmitting ourselves into the world, we use non-existent, conventional places. These conventional landscapes are available to everyone, but they are not real, but maybe real. My birch forest is a convention, and a person walking through it merges with it, turning into an environment.
The work is done on premium quality linen canvas. The ends are a continuation of the painting. Gallery stretch canvas on a stretcher, 4 cm thick.
