In this picture I tried to convey the quiet but piercing beauty of frosty winter twilight. Using oil paints allowed me to mix colors and apply painterly textures to capture the soft, warm sky and the glow of the setting sun behind the bare trees. I used impressionism as a technique and style, conveying not only the charm of the motif, but also the calm loneliness of the moment, inviting the viewer to contemplate.
