This is one of a series of paintings of stunning sunsets I observed in Mill Hill Park, North London. I was inspired by colours of the sky, light of the setting sun, silhouettes of trees in the distance, the goalposts and the quiet, peaceful feeling of the passing day. Mill Hill Park is my local park, where my family and I spent a lot of our time, walking the dog, meeting friends, playing with children or just briefly passing through. Staying the same, it can be so different each day, depending on wheather, light, season, time of the day or time of the week, sometimes empty and desolate, sometime quiet and romantic, bustling with life and energy, and sometimes presenting stunning skies, sunsets, colours and scenes. During lockdown 2020-2021 it became to much greater extent one of the centres of the local life.
