This colorful painting is expressive in its use of broad brushwork and pattern. I am exploring the idea of sunset and inventing combinations of color and tone to help me convey the emotion of actually experiencing being in that field. This a color experiment, and the idea is influenced by many beautiful sunsets I have seen all over the world. The painting is a gallery wrapped canvas 1.5" deep with the painting continued on and around the sides.
