Sunset grasses by the lake
A dazzling yellow sun,
Reflecting its beauty onto the cool waters,
Scattered clouds start to appear above the horizon,
It’s changing so fast,
While I stand by the grassy edge.

Words and feelings and inspired by the different lakes that I have seen throughout the year and using my imagination - visual memories.
Original expressive watercolour created for a art demonstration for my YouTube channel,
I used rough textured watercolour paper acid free cold pressed Bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb. Windsor and Newton watercolours in the Cotman range .
The techniques were wet on wet using lots of water and applying back washes of light to dark colours. The baseline technique was used for the horizon and I let the paint evolve to get the depth of detail and feathering effect. I also etched out the paint with my nail to achieve the detail in the foreground of the grasses.
