This painting is a study I did as a commission for a larger piece which in in a collectors home. In the beginning of the day, the Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado, get the early light which makes for beautiful and subtle colors in the mountains at the base of the Rockies. And again at the end of the day the sky enhances the shadow colors of the red Flatirons.

Some of my work is used in television and commercials. This painting has been in Season 1 and 2 of "Big Little Lies".

While this is a larger painting, I primarily paint small, intimate works as they can be placed in any setting and are priced for affordability.


People describe my work as calming and soothing the soul. I hope each of my pieces does that for you.

The painting will be varnished, wrapped in waxed paper, and packing material to prevent damage. I try to use recycled materials whenever possible in shipping.

Because all computer screens are calibrated differently, colors may differ on different monitors. Most paintings have much more nuanced colors in person. I want you to be totally happy with your paintings, so of course, if you aren't, you are welcome to return it.
