Some paintings are simply meant to be. This canvas came ready prepared with the name of the painting and the media already written on the back of the canvas stretcher. Full title: Sunrise Over Oaks In Great Windsor Park.

I got this canvas because a friend (who was an artist) had a massive heart attack whilst putting on his socks.... no, this is not a sad story. He had been told as a child that he had a serious heart defect and that his heart could and probably would, sooner or later, simply stop. There was nothing anyone could do about it. When Denis told me this (we where in a pub enjoying a pint), I asked how he felt about that. No problem, he said, I'm now in my fifties and I wasn't supposed to get past my teenage years. I live every day as best I can and enjoy every moment of my time.

So, this is for Denis... the man who refused to worry about something he couldn't change anyway. Brilliant attitude...

Oh... and did I mention that this is my first 'Abstract'? No idea where that came from :)
