Title: SUNRISE ON THE PACIFIC

Location and Year: Carmel, California / 2024

Description: Description:  This trip to Carmel turned into a wonderful adventure.  Seemingly around every corner and down every path there were exciting opportunities to capture moments of unparalleled beauty.  Conversations with locals repeatedly pointed the way to the fabulous 17-mile drive in Pebble Beach, California.  Cruising along the twisty road you’ll find breathtaking vistas around every corner, but when the Monterey Cypress Tree comes into view, you can’t help but stop and stand in complete awe.  The lone cypress, estimated to be 250 years old, stands atop a granite headland overlooking the Monterey Bay Sanctuary.  In the presence of one of Mother Nature’s most majestic creations, one can’t help but experience a sense of true serenity.  In the moment I felt an almost overwhelming invitation to pause and allow myself to become immersed in all its perfection.  My hope is that my personal interpretation of this truly magnificent Cypress conveys its extraordinary beauty to all who view it.
