While painting this watercolor, I found myself immersed in the beating heart of Madrid, where the graceful form of the Four Seasons Hotel rises like a jewel amid the city’s vibrant rhythm. Created directly from life, this piece captures the radiant soul of Spain’s capital — its shifting light, lively movement, and endless sources of inspiration.

Through soft, airy brushstrokes, I aimed to express the warmth of a sunlit day, when lively cafés hum with conversation, golden plazas shimmer, and the aged façades cast long, whispering shadows. This artwork carries a breath of freedom, the thrill of exploration, and the gentle poetry woven into the fabric of city life.
