This is a celebration of the new year and its endless possibilities, starting with the January flower, Heleborus. As one of the earliest flowers to bloom, from late winter to early spring, these flowers are said to symbolise serenity, tranquility and peace. In terms of composition, we see their light shining through their dark surroundings, as the focal point for the viewer.
Their flourishing, catching the sunlight even in darkness, provides a sense of hope.
