Painted from life from flowers arranged by the artist. Features two golden yellow sunflowers, one facing the audience and one in profile, accompanied by two spider mums. The petals of the mums range from burgundy at the base, to mauve-pink in the middle, to yellow-white at the tips. Miniature roses and carnations in mauve and white complete the arrangement, on a background of red, burgundy and mauve textured brushstrokes. Painted in oil on board with brush and touches of palette knife. The shapes of the flower petals are enhanced by the texture of the paint. Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a mahogany colored finish which complements the red tones of the flowers. Framed dimensions: 19.5 x 16.5 x 1". May also purchased unframed by request.
