Every time someone receives flowers around our studio they are liable to end up in a vase and on canvas. Its a nice diversion from my landscape painting and a great exercise in playing with color. I was especially attracted to using the complementary yellow and lavender combinations with a neutral background. Sunflowers are Springtime and Van Gogh!
