Painted from life, from flowers gathered and arranged by the artist. Features a large sunflower bursting from a cluster of colorful fall flowers, including unusually colored mauve zinnias. The cluster of flowers is accented by eucalyptus and apple leaves. The yellow and mauve zinnias and red and purple dahlias have petals shaped with thickly textured paint. The flowers are complemented by a textured background containing variegated yellow, blue and orange. Painted in oil on canvas. With 1.5" thick stretched canvas, the painting continues onto the sides for a "gallery wrap" look that requires no frame and is ready to hang.
