Painted from life on my Mom's porch in Milwaukee. Features a bright golden sunflower accented by a small violet straw flower. The background features textured brushstrokes in shades of light blue, along with glimpses of red dahlias surrounding the sunflower. Painted with both brush and palette knife in oil on board. The shape of the petals is accentuated by the texture of the paint.

Small in size yet filled with details and deep contrasts in color. Would make a wonderful gift for any occasion, or a striking accent piece for any room of your home or workspace. A bright burst of color and good cheer.
