Painted from life, from flowers gathered and arranged by the artist. Features a sunflower surrounded by dahlias in a shades of red, purple, peach and white, accented by blue delphinium blossoms. The petals of the flowers are accentuated by the use of palette knife to "carve" the the texture of their shapes. The flowers are complimented by background brushstrokes in shades of yellow-green and blue-green. Bursting with energy and vibrancy, the painting continues onto the sides of the stretched canvas in a "gallery wrap" style which is ready to hang.
