My secret love is sunflowers. My favorite flower second only to magnolias. Painting still life is my guilty pleasure. I paint them for myself. I don't really care if anybody else likes them. they make me feel good and I like to have a few hanging in my house.
This is one of my few paintings on wood. I like painting on such a smooth surface and I like the look of crisp, straight edges on the work surface.
