This is painted on waterproof paper which makes the watercolours almost impossible to manipulate. I used this because the effect perfectly depicts the sun burning through mist. The main focus is in the top right corner of the picture which makes for an unusual composition, and the 'detail' at the bottom is left very loose so it doesn't take away from the main subject. As an artist I feel the balance is right.
