A collection of wild flowers from the Scottish Isles. White bindweed and daisies and a lovely pink flower whose name I don't know. These I picked in Muck and Mull while sailing on the west coast of Scotland. When I placed them in a jam jar, they formed an arc shape which I liked with the heart shaped leaves falling in folds to either side. The combination of blues, pinks and greens create a fresh summery feel. Nature always provides us with something beautiful to gaze at no matter what the season but in summer, well we're flooded with greens and colour!
The style is expressive in colour and although drawn from life, I tend to curve and shape things to my own ideas. It just happens!
Painted in layers of Golden open acrylic on a heavy Clairefontaine acrylic paper. This painting can be framed as a watercolour with a mount under glass or as an oil.
