Original artwork description:

This was the view from where we were staying on holiday in Kal Ken, Turkey. I couldn't believe my luck what a fantastic view, especially the little islands which seemed to be bobbing and floating about in the sea. This was in the far distance a wonderful view. So I positioned myself and in the comfort of the garden and captured this magical scene with sketches. The sun was shining making the trees shimmer in the glare and the blue of the sea seam brighter. So I made several water colour sketches and pastel sketches to start with. And took reference photos to capture it all then completed the painting on returning home in my studio using all the reference . It is a very large landscape - ready to hang and is painted on a deep edge canvas.
