Abstract impressionist water painting, 80x80cm, unframed and ready to hang.
I have long admired the work of Joan Mitchell, and recently saw an amazing exhibition which married her work with that of her biggest inspiration...Claude Monet! Abstraction is a very important part of my painting process, building color relationships and layering canvasses with paint to create an image which gives me joy is a huge aim in my own work.
Summer Reflections uses Golden acrylic paints, I have tried to inject as much colour, warmth and vibrancy as I can onto this canvas, which has many many layers of paint to give depth and texture to the painting.
This 80x80cm painting is unframed. It has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
