Bold marks with brush and palette knife give life to this study of dappled sunlight through tree canopy cover. Inspired by the natural spaces of his home city of London, David Brett uses splashes of bright colour to evoke the summer heat.

This work is in acrylic paint and mediums on Winsor and Newton acrylic paper.
