This is a piece of painting created for a beautiful and tranquil summer. Painted in the Gongbi Brush Painting style (Chinese or sumie Brush Art), this painting contains the small happinesses we may have forgotten: the cool breeze on a hot day, a beautiful song sang by a small bird somewhere hidden in the trees, the fragrance of the flowers soothing our senses... This painting is about all those. The title written in Chinese calligraphy is very much in line with "summer joy".

The Gongbi painting is known to be rather slow in its creation, it is also very mindful to both the painter and the viewers - time slows down when we look into such a painting.
