This neat little summer house down by the shore at Cromarty was lit up by the sunlit as I passed by looking for something to paint. I spent a couple of hours drawing on the first day and returned later that week to paint it, sitting mostly in the car.
I loved the pattern created by the light on the roof and by the fence on the pink soil. The fresh and summery feel of the contrasting green and white gave the painting a jolt of colour!
My painting is in oil on canvas which is hand made by me. The painting is framed in painted natural wood with a fine hessian slip.
