Plein air work (painted on location).
Plein-air painting is the practice of painting landscape pictures out-of-doors, more loosely, the achievement of an intense impression of the open air in a landscape painting. Painting en plein air, though very challenging due to unpredictability and varying conditions, like constantly changing light, wind and rain, heat or cold, can be very rewarding, since it allows me to experience the landscape to the maximum and capture the spirit and essence of a landscape by incorporating natural light, color, and movement into my works.

Materials: Oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen, mounted on the archival museum quality Gatorfoam panel. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
