Painted this one last weekend at a painting festival - Les Peintre dans la Rue - at a small hamlet called Mortemart. Lovely village, lovely day and quite a nice little daubing I thought. Apparently, so did the jury and the members of the public who were also able to cast a vote, and I was awarded first place for the oil painting section.
However, as I was not there when they made the announcement, they gave the cash prize to the runner-up!
