Impressionistic landscape painting.

I love summer, and memories of summer holidays from my childhood are very special. This painting celebrates summer vacations, especially walking down to the beach from a coast path - the sense of anticipation is great!

I work with layers of acrylic painting, building up colour and tone. I then add texture and impact by splashing, spattering, dripping and flicking paint onto the canvas.

This 80x80cm painting is unframed, it has white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
