The painting shows a calm sea on a cloudy summer day. Pastel blues, grays, and pinks are so soothing and relaxing. This is a semi-abstract painting, painted on a small canvas with oil paints of light tones, with a lot of blue and white. The small canvas is ideal for placing on a table or bookshelf in a set with other paintings and for independent placement in the interior of a small space.
