Original artwork description:

The title comes from Emily Dickinson's poem (F-822) -- "The Summer closed upon itself/In Consummated Bloom". Painted with acrylic over modeling paste that is etched then sanded down, bright red swirls are transected with various lines. The predominate colors are mineral blue, turquoise, red, rose, pink, peach, light blue and purple. There are hints of copper and gold. This is an intense and dynamic painting on cradled hardboard panel, 2-inches in depth. It is professional framed (Metro Frame: Boston) in a deep walnut exhibition frame. Signed and dated on the back of the cradled panel (side), it ships with a digitally-registered Certificate of Authenticity.
